Placencia Eagle Ray Tours

Mi hermana y yo hicimos juntos el tour de snorkel. El viaje en bote de 40 minutos hasta allí estuvo un poco lleno de baches y salpicaduras, ¡pero lo encontré muy divertido! Una vez que navegamos hasta la zona correcta, comenzamos con una visita guiada en grupo. El nado duró unos 40 minutos y el guía señaló muchos peces y corales. Después de eso, nos proporcionaron el almuerzo que era casero y delicioso. Comí demasiado porque estaba muy bueno y afortunadamente tuvimos tiempo para relajarnos después del almuerzo. Después de eso tomamos un paseo en bote de 5 minutos hasta un arrecife. En ese momento pudimos nadar solos alrededor de un área bastante grande y explorar. ¡Pude ver varios tiburones nodriza, rayas, peces y una tortuga! ¡Fue una experiencia increíble y lo volvería a hacer!
* No sugeriría este tour para principiantes ya que no hay mucha ayuda con el equipo, etc. Nunca había practicado snorkel pero personalmente me gustó la independencia.

Esta ha sido mi primera vez en Placencia. Mientras estuvimos aquí, hemos realizado 3 recorridos separados con ellos. ¡Renee y Tricia fueron las mejores! Tricia nos mantuvo informados sobre toda la información importante para el recorrido y Renee estaba llena de información sobre la historia, la flora y la fauna de la zona. ¡Ellos fueron increíbles! ¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

Originalmente pasamos a hablar con Tricia, quien nos preguntó si estábamos interesados ​​en hacer snorkel. No nado y tuve malas experiencias nadando en el pasado. Ella nos aseguró que haríamos snorkel para principiantes en Laughing Bird y que nunca iríamos a un lugar donde no pudiera poner los pies en el suelo.

Más tarde, al intentar organizar el recorrido, Tricia no estaba en el edificio del recorrido a intervalos regulares y descubrió que era impredecible.

Una vez que estuvimos listos para partir, ¡no solo salimos más de una hora tarde! Pero llegamos allí y nuestro guía simplemente nos dijo que nos pusiéramos el equipo y lo siguiéramos más allá de donde no podíamos tocar fondo.

El guía miró y actuó como si no quisiera estar allí. No nos explicó cómo funcionaba el equipo, no nos enseñó a hacer snorkel. Se fue adelante mientras yo todavía estaba tratando de descubrir cómo ponerme las cosas, mi máscara me goteó agua en la cara y terminé sentado en la playa mientras la gente experimentada hacía snorkel.

El capitán del barco fue genial y vimos algunas cosas mientras estuvimos en la isla.

Pero.

No soy partidario de que me mientan sólo para vender una gira. ¡El snorkel seguro para principiantes FUE LA RAZÓN POR LA QUE NOS REGISTRAMOS!

Por muy amable que fuera Tricia, no volveré aquí para realizar giras.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. We had a snorkling tour to Laughing Bird Caye with this family owned/ran business. We are more than happy with their services and the memories we made. Highly recommend! They were so patient with my kids, (3yr/7yrs) and helped make sure they were safe and enjoyed the snorkeling. My 7 year old absolutely loved snorkeling and even got to see a nurse shark! We communicated for a few weeks before we came, Tricia and her family are so sincere and great. Placencia is blessed to have them here!

Tricia is an amazing hostess who will go out of her way to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Rene and Kendace have a vast amount of experience both on the water and in the jungle. You always have an amazing day when you tour with Eagle Ray.

We did two reef fishing and snorkeling tours with them and they were both outstanding. Kendis and Rene were really great and went out of their way to accommodate us with anything we wanted to do. Next time we visit Belize we will call on them again.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had; one it comes to booking tours. The entire staff was patient, professional, and a blast! My Tour guides were very knowledgeable of each place we visited and had unlimited answers to my many questions. Thank you, Tricia, for being the amazing person you, and welcoming into your country, and arranging all the tours, and events. I can not wait to visit again!

We had a blast with Eagle Ray Tours! One day we went to the Mayan Ruins and Cave Tubing. Our driver was Dido and he was very knowledgeable about Belize and was willing to share all of his knowledge during our drive. He was also familiar with Alaska from watching TV and doing research so it was neat to share things about home with him! He was very kind and we enjoyed spending the day with him. They also hooked us up with great guides for the ruins and cave tubing. Both guides at these sites were very knowledgeable and loved “their offices! ”:)

The following day we did a half day fishing/ half day snorkeling tour with Kendis and Rene. Kendis was our fishing captain and he was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and you could tell he loved what he got to do on a regular basis! Mom caught all the fish! After fishing we went to one of the islands and had a Belize style lunch of stewed chicken, rice&beans, a salad/slaw, plantains, and fresh lime juice prepared by Ms. Tricia and got to explore the island on our own for a while and relax in paradise! Rene then took me on a snorkel tour around the reef while my mom stayed and enjoyed the island some more. Rene was kind and loved his part of the tour. He would dive down and grab conch shells and sea cucumbers for me to see up close, let me enjoy swimming with the rays, and point out the different types of fish and coral we were seeing. He never made me feel rushed and just let me enjoy exploring!

Both of these tours were private tours and we got amazing service from all of the guides. They made us feel comfortable and we are still smiling about all the fun we had. Thank you to the staff at Eagle Ray Tours for 2 of the most fantastic days in Belize!

We booked a day trip to Laughing Bird Caye from Placencia. The crew was great.friendly, professional, safe, and knowledgeable. The island is a tiny, gorgeous, perfect place to snorkel from the beach, lunch (great stewed chicken), and chill. The whole trip was a real highlight of our two weeks in Belize. I can highly recommend this crew and this trip!

Eagle Ray Tours is a great family-run business. Everyone is super-friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The snorkeling tours are great and are priced lower than other options in the area. If you're going to snorkel, hit Placencia Eagle Ray Tours up, you won't regret it!

Great snorkeling trip to silk caye. They got us out early before the crowds and served a great homemade lunch. Really nice people from the booking agent to the guides/captain. The price is also better than some others. Book the say before and meet them at the booth to get your gear before heading to the boat.
