Motorbike Rentals & Alternate Adventures

Si estás pensando en alquilar una motocicleta en Alternate Adventures, ¡hazlo en serio! Lo recomiendo altamente. Al principio no estaba seguro porque había leído experiencias contradictorias en foros sobre andar en motocicleta en Belice, pero estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho.
Tenemos experiencia montando y éramos conscientes de nuestro entorno, no montamos de noche y fue una experiencia extremadamente positiva. ¡Recorrimos unas 1000 millas más o menos simplemente explorando! Aparte del alojamiento reservado, realmente no tenía mucho plan de acción. Emma fue de gran ayuda con todo eso y se tomó el tiempo de mostrar cómo llegar allí en el mapa y sugirió varias cosas para comprobar que a mi pareja y a mí nos encantaron.

Alquilamos dos motos por una semana. El precio es muy razonable, las bicicletas están bien mantenidas y también se pueden alquilar equipos como cascos y bolsas. ¡Realmente pudimos experimentar la verdadera exploración de Belice en moto y no hay nada que se compare! Emma fue de gran ayuda para coordinar las cosas, brindarnos información, consejos útiles, lugares interesantes para visitar y ayudarnos a planificar algunas cosas en nuestro itinerario. Me sentí segura al haber pedido prestado un mapa y un teléfono celular en caso de emergencias.

Definitivamente regresaremos y lo esperamos con muchas ganas. Una de las mejores aventuras que agradezco haber vivido.

¡¡¡Montar en doble deporte en Belice es absolutamente increíble, hermoso y abundante! Conducir motocicletas en un país en desarrollo es un hecho para los lugareños que viajan de un lugar a otro y, sin embargo, ¡hay muchísimo que explorar en este pequeño país para personas con un espíritu aventurero y un doble deporte confiable!

La mayoría de las carreteras en Belice no están pavimentadas y las que están pavimentadas siguen siendo una experiencia deportiva dual con abundantes baches, grandes badenes en la ciudad para saltar divertidos y capas de limo súper resbaladizo para tomarte desprevenido mientras tu la bicicleta se desliza 3 pies de lado (¡pregúntame cómo lo sé!).

Belice es una selva tropical, por lo que esperar que el barro esté en su lista de terrenos previstos para montar en bicicleta. ¡Afortunadamente para nosotros, Belice no nos decepcionó en ese aspecto! Llegamos a muchas carreteras que en el pasado estaban muy llenas de baches y mojadas o que actualmente estaban empapadas y estaban resbaladizas como los mocos. Nuestro grupo tuvo algunos descensos inesperados en el barro pero no hubo heridos.

Si necesita una solución de aventura en el invierno, no puedo recomendarle lo suficiente que se comunique con @alternateadventures y reserve su propia aventura alternativa en Belice en deportes duales. ¡Volverás a casa con barro en los dientes y una sonrisa más grande que nunca!

Súper chica que domina su materia. ¡Ve allí con los ojos cerrados! Sus motos están muy bien mantenidas, Emma te dará sugerencias de rutas, un teléfono para que puedas comunicarte con ella si es necesario, obviamente una moto en perfecto estado y una gran dosis de entusiasmo. Todo estuvo genial. Y si también buscas una habitación en el bonito pueblo de Hopkins, no busques más, ofrece todo el confort y un toque extra de hospitalidad a un precio muy razonable.
¡Breve! LA DIRECCIÓN para recordar en Belice.

Después de haber conocido digitalmente a Emma años antes, finalmente pude conseguir que un grupo de mujeres vinieran a Belice desde EE. UU.para alquilar motocicletas y explorar.

Emma tiene un espacio increíble para alquilar que está vinculado a su recorrido en motocicleta/tienda de bicicletas. Alquilamos la suite más grande con una litera y una cama principal y luego otra persona alquiló la habitación tipo loft individual. Ambos tenían su propio baño equipado y un área común en el nivel superior con acceso al aire libre y asientos junto con una mini cocina para su uso.

Emma nos llevó a hermosos recorridos por su lado de Belice. Los senderos no eran muy difíciles (ya que teníamos algunos motociclistas principiantes) y las motocicletas estaban muy bien mantenidas. ¡Está muy bien informada sobre las áreas y conoce todas las gemas escondidas! Nos divertimos mucho no solo montando sino también paseando con Emma: ¡tiene una personalidad tan vibrante y tiene historias para días!

El pequeño pueblo se sentía seguro y lo recorrimos solos por la noche con nuestro grupo para buscar cena o parar en tiendas de conveniencia. Hay opciones saludables y está lejos de ser una trampa para turistas. Estás apoyando una economía local próspera.

Emma también tiene más tours para elegir donde puedes viajar más lejos y explorar y quedarte en otras ciudades. ¡Definitivamente queremos hacer el viaje de regreso para hacerlo también!

¡10/10 recomendaría este viaje ya sea solo o con un grupo! Encontrarás una amiga en Emma o, si quieres explorar en solitario, ella se asegurará de tener comodidades para que te sientas cómodo.

Alternative Adventures en Hopkins fue la mejor experiencia que tuve en Belice. La motocicleta fue una excelente manera de ver lugares naturales e históricos de todo el país, especialmente en lugares de difícil acceso.
El Crash Pad estaba limpio y espacioso y era muy bienvenido después de un largo día de aventuras.
El servicio fue increíble. ¡Recomiendo esto a cualquiera que quiera agregar un poco de aventura a sus vacaciones tropicales!

¡Emma es absolutamente lo mejor que puedes encontrar para tus viajes en Belice! Alquiler de motos y aventuras alternativas es todo lo que podrías desear y más para una aventura. Emma es una guía apasionada, conocedora y confiable. Fui solo hace años para alquilar una motocicleta y viajar por Belice. Me proporcionaron direcciones y opciones más que suficientes para llegar a Hopkins, así como sugerencias increíbles y opciones de itinerarios para paseos por todo el país. La bicicleta estaba muy bien mantenida, me proporcionaron un teléfono local en caso de cualquier problema y un mapa que la propia Emma había elaborado con excelentes paradas marcadas claramente a lo largo del camino. Decir que me impresionó es quedarse corto. Ni siquiera he llegado al hostel, al Crashpad ni al hecho de que volví al año siguiente con un grupo de amigos. Recomiendo encarecidamente esta empresa de alquiler a cualquiera que se dirija a Belice.

Wow, highlight of our trip. Emma is very knowledgeable and directed us to the perfect half day tour. Headed up to the nature reserve and stopped by the chocolate place along the way. Even saw a jaguar!

Zipping by tour buses that looked like it had miserable riders bumping and rocking the road. Motorbike rental is the way to go!

Emma is the best! The riding in the area is a blast and the Honda Crf 150L was perfect for our more vertically challenged friends. We will be back and next time with enough advanced notice to convince our new friend to share some local trails with us.

I love this place! Emma is the best host. The rooms are well thought out and designed. The additional roof terrace is a great addition. When in Hopkins stay here and rent a motorcycle and explore!

Just imagine you get all you need for the road (stuff and directions), you can just have your breakfast, say hello to local cat, sit o a bike - and there journey and adventure starts!

Let me start by saying Emma with Alternate Adventures is the best.   I have been fortunate enough to rent from Emma on two separate trips to Belize, and both times it has been the best part of the trip. I went on one multi-day trip to PG and one quick run down the hummingbird Highway.   If you're seeking a self-guided unscripted adventure then renting a bike is the ticket.

Emma has multiple trips mapped out and can help tailor your trip to your liking.   She can lead you to the best swimming holes, or the unknown Mayan ruins, or epic jungle roads.   Her bikes are in fantastic shape, and she makes a point to test run them herself. Avoid the crowded, sweltering, expensive van tours common in Belize and instead opt for a self-guided tour. You wont be disappointed.

Alternate Adventures is one of the coolest places I’ve found on my travels! Emma, the owner, is wonderful, and has a wealth of knowledge about Belize which will help you plan the perfect adventure. Whether you want to ride to waterfalls, Mayan ruins, butterfly farms or cultural activities, she can point you in the right direction and give you great ideas. The motorbikes are excellently maintained, and they have a variety to chose from for taller or shorter riders alike. It’s the perfect way to see Belize and experience it more like a local on two wheels. I came here with my own motorcycle, and their knowledgeable mechanic was able to help me fix a few things, which was also great. Trying out the rental bikes, they were actually better suited to the local trails and roads (sometimes a little bike is much easier to handle!) I highly recommend this spot and will be back again

What an amazing experience. My girlfriend and I rented bikes for two days. Emma was very responsive over email and when we arrived, Cornelio was very helpful for all of our needs. The XR 150 was perfect size for my short girlfriend (5’4) and comfortable enough to ride all the way across the country in one day. If you plan on riding with backpacks, maybe ask for a few bunjee cords for the luggage racks (which they will provide) and makes the riding experience much more comfortable. Overall, can’t recommend this place enough. Great service, great bikes, and a wonderful way to explore beautiful Belize.

I was in Hopkins in April where I rented a motorbike from Motorbike Rentals & Alternate Adventures. I has booked online and when I got there Emma was expecting me. She was fantastic we did the formalities then she showed me the bikes all of then were in excellent condition and clean. Emma then asked me what I was interested in and she produced a map and marked all of the points of interest
Then she gave me a local cell phone in case I got lost or had a flat or something Wow! Who ever heard of that? My last day rained so I returned the bike and Emma gave me a credit for the day I cant say enough about this place and the professional way I was treated by a lovely beautiful happy soul Thank you Emma Five big Stars for you

I cannot recommend Alternate Adventures highly enough! I traveled with 6 friends to Belize in January and early February. We had many many back-and-forth message with Emma ahead of time and she was **stellar** to work with in the planning process. Dual sports are the BEST way to see Belize and Emma's hostel is also a perfect place to stay.

Renting from Emma was the best decision we made in Hopkins. Getting over the jungle parks roads, especially the Cockscomb mud pit of a road, would have been difficult in a rented car. And Emma is just a sweetheart. She was very encouraging to a couple of 60 year olds with young hearts.

I just, ah! Words! I had such an excellent time renting a bike from Emma's place. The process was straightforward and Emma had thought of everything. You get a map and can ask for good routes to whatever destination you want. You can get a phone if you are traveling from outside Belize and need one for emergencies. There's a garage on site in case you dump the bike and it needs a fix (but you know, don't TRY to dump it). The location is great because it's near the beach but easy to get to the highway so you can travel further away. Emma's got a plethora of info on fun destinations and places to sightsee. Wonderful experience! 10/10.

I rented a 250cc motorbike from Motorbike Rentals & Alternate Adventures for a few days in early March. They take amazing care of their bikes and I never had an issue, even on some seriously questionable back roads.

But the bikes are only half the story. Emma, the owner, knows all the good places to eat, hike, and check out. When she breaks out a laminated map to send with you, she'll mark up all the things you need to watch out for on your route and make recommendations based on what you're looking to see and do. That's the kind of "boots on the ground" advice you can't get without serious local know how. Will absolutely be renting from them again when I'm in Hopkins.
